Recruiters can now utilise natural language queries to ask questions and identify potential candidates on the LinkedIn platform, making the search process more intuitive and efficient. Furthermore, this AI tool enables recruiters to create ad campaigns for job openings, simplifying the outreach to potential candidates.
LinkedIn’s CEO, Ryan Roslansky, highlighted the importance of AI in reshaping the recruitment landscape. He emphasised the need for innovative approaches in the industry and said, “AI is not just accelerating the need for a new ‘playbook’ in the industry but will be the tool to help build it.”
In addition to the AI-assisted recruiting tool, LinkedIn has introduced AI-powered coaching within its LinkedIn Learning section. This AI component is designed to customise content and offer real-time advice tailored to users’ career aspirations, enhancing the learning experience.
LinkedIn has witnessed a remarkable 65% increase in interest in its AI course offerings over the past year. While the new AI-powered recruiting and learning tools are currently available to a select group of users, they are expected to become more widely accessible in the future.
It’s worth noting that Microsoft, the parent company of LinkedIn, has a strategic partnership with OpenAI, the creator of the renowned AI chatbot ChatGPT. This collaboration has empowered LinkedIn to integrate advanced AI technology into its platform.
In May, LinkedIn introduced AI-assisted messages for recruiters, a feature that has reportedly saved 74% of users time in their recruitment activities.

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (formerly Facebook), unveiled an AI chat assistant called Meta AI, aimed at integrating AI capabilities into Meta-owned platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
