Zhao also mentioned that he would remain available as a shareholder and former CEO, providing historical knowledge and consulting as needed, in line with the resolutions reached with US agencies.

In his own statement on social media, Richard Teng expressed honour and humility in taking on the role of Binance CEO. As for Changpeng Zhao’s future plans, he mentioned taking a break and expressed his intention to engage in passive investing, becoming a minority token/shareholder in startups related to blockchain/Web3, DeFi, AI, and biotech.
