Ankur Jain has formally announced the launch of his new business, generative AI (GenAI)-based startup Jivi AI, months after leaving finance giant BharatPe.
According to a former BharatPe chief product officer (CPO), Jivi AI will use “generative AI to improve healthcare outcomes for 8 Bn people” in a LinkedIn post.
The firm is run by an interdisciplinary group of doctors, data scientists, engineers, and designers who attend Ivy League universities and are “all working towards leveraging AI to transform healthcare,” according to their website.

Using generative AI, machine learning, digital health technologies, and artificial intelligence, Jivi.ai seeks to revolutionize primary healthcare. The business, which has onboarded over 100 doctors and hospitals in India in the last three months, intends to launch in both India and the US.
According to the company’s LinkedIn profile, Jain is the CEO and co-founder of Jivi, which was founded in December 2023. Currently employed are 16 people, including former BharatPe employees Alok Srivastava, Saurabh Kumar, and Rajat Jain.
Now that its seed money has been secured, Jivi.ai is aggressively looking for its next round of funding. Jain’s latest business endeavour becomes a part of the growing “BharatPe alumni network,” as multiple former executives have also started their firms.
Ashneer Grover, the former MD of BharatPe, was said to have founded the lending technology company ZeroPe earlier this month. The enterprise, which offers medical loans up to INR 5 Lakh, is his second business endeavour following the release of the CrickPe fantasy cricket app in the previous year.
In the meantime, in January 2023, Vijay Aggarwal—who held the position of CTO for the fintech unicorn until 2022—launched CubeAPM. Furthermore, a lifestyle app for the elderly was created by Nehul Malhotra, the former head of BharatPe’s consumer product, PostPe; Rajat Jain, the former chief product officer of lending and consumer goods; and Geetanshu Singla, the former vice president of technology at BharatPe.
In addition, the finance SaaS platform OTPless was introduced by Tanmay Sagar, Satyam Nathani, and Bhavik Koladiya, the former cofounder and engineering lead of BharatPe.
Jain’s return to the AI area coincides with an increase in investment activity in the Indian GenAI market.
Startups spearheaded by Bhavish Aggarwal, including Vodex, Arya.AI, SydeLabs, and Krutrim AI, have raised capital in recent months. The market for GenAI in India is expected to rise from $1.1 billion in 2023 to over $17 billion by 2030.
