To get started with AI Playlist, you need to follow these steps:
- Open the Spotify mobile app and tap “Your Library.” You can find it at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- In Your Library, tap the “+” button at the top-right corner of the application. Then choose “AI Playlist.”
- You can select one of the suggested prompts or type in your own creative prompt. Either way, you have to be specific for the best results. For example, you can try putting in “90s music for my road trip” or “tracks to listen to while shopping for groceries.”
- After you are done with your prompt, all you have to do is wait. The streaming platform will curate tracks that match your chosen vibe.
- After Spotify finishes curating your playlist for you, you make changes to it. You can manage the songs in the playlist by previewing and removing tracks as needed. Do you not like a particular song? Remove it from the playlist. Do you want to make more adjustments than just removing a song? Then provide feedback, like asking for “less pop” or “more upbeat” songs.
- Once you are happy with it, tap “Create,” and your new playlist will automatically be saved in Your Library.
If you are unable to find the “Create AI Playlist” option, you have to make sure that your Spotify app is up-to-date. However, one important thing to remember here is that currently, AI Playlist is a premium feature limited to users in the UK and Australia. If you are located elsewhere or do not have a Premium subscription, you will not see this option yet.
Also, this feature is exclusively available for English-language Spotify users. If you are using a different language, switching to English may enable the option.
