Google and the Telangana government established a strategic partnership on Thursday to leverage AI’s disruptive potential in several areas throughout the state.
The goal of this partnership, which was formally established through an MOU, is to advance the creation and application of AI technologies.
Agriculture, mobility, education, sustainability, and governance are among its main areas of focus.

According to an official statement, it also aims to promote innovation, close the digital divide, and give workers skills they will need in the future.
Google representatives, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and IT Minister Sridhar Babu were present at the MOU exchange.
Through the integration of transit data and the sharing of road information, Google and the Telangana government will work together to create AI-powered agricultural solutions that will assist farmers and improve mobility.
Additionally, the alliance will support digital learning ecosystems through Google for Education, develop an Open Agriculture Network to link farmers with necessary resources and focus on AI skilling and upskilling programs.

Additionally, the partnership seeks to promote the startup environment through accelerator programs, speed up solar adoption through Google’s Solar API, and improve open data access through Google’s Data Commons platform.
“This partnership with Google reinforces our vision for an AI-enabled Telangana,” the chief minister said, congratulating Google on the milestone. We intend to transform important industries by incorporating state-of-the-art AI technology, guaranteeing improved public services, economic advancement, and better governance.
He went on to say that Telangana’s digital journey has advanced significantly with this alliance.
The partnership with Telangana, according to Google India Country Manager Preeti Lobana, demonstrates the company’s dedication to India’s digital future.

“We’re excited to combine our AI expertise with the state’s vision to build an AI-ready workforce, foster startup innovation, and address key areas such as agriculture, education, and sustainability,” Lobana stated.
