Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro to Debut in India with Advanced AI Camera Tools

Last week, the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro featuring MediaTek Dimensity SoCs were released in a few international countries. The Chinese tech company is currently preparing the launch of its flagship phones in India. 

Flipkart has declared that it will soon become officially recognized in the nation. The Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro models in India, like their Chinese and international counterparts, will provide several artificial intelligence (AI)-powered capabilities, the company said.

With AI-based features including AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and AI Clear Face, the Reno 12 5G series is expected to launch as “Your Everyday AI Companion.” According to OPPO, the AI features will do away with the necessity for photo editing to produce professional images.

• AI Eraser 2.0: This tool will function similarly to Google’s Magic Eraser, which circles objects and then erases them with a tap.

• AI Best Face: Touted as the only AI closed-eye correction tool in the sector, this feature helps you take the ideal group shot. Thus, the functionality can resolve the problem if someone in the group has their eyes closed.

• AI Perfect Shot: A combination of AI-powered features will produce beautiful images, including ideal pictures for LinkedIn and other platforms.
• AI Clear Face: This technology creates facial texturing, hairstyles, and other features based on big, trained models, making every person in group images appear to be the primary figure.

• AI Studio: According to OPPO, users may create digital avatars from pictures.

OPPO eliminates motion blur and improves light, colour, and texture using sophisticated tone mapping algorithms. It is claimed that 296 distinct human facial traits may be identified by facial recognition systems.

Google’s Gemini LLM is supporting the integration of tools like AI Writer, AI Summary, and AI Speak into the next generation of smartphones. Additionally, OPPO will add AI Clear Voice to the devices, which will improve human voices and eliminate background noise by up to 40 dB.

To maximize network efficiency and reduce data latency by up to 25%, the AI LinkBoost can recognize different types of data, facilitating users’ access to messages, movies, and other content. The Reno 12 5G series, according to OPPO, will include a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging technology, allowing it to charge from 0 to 100 in 46 minutes.

There will be a single 8GB+128GB version of the Reno 12 5G available in Sunset Peach, Astro Silver, and Matte Brown. In Sunset Gold and Space Brown hues, the Reno 12 Pro 5G will be offered in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB versions.

In July, the OPPO Reno12 Series is anticipated to debut in India.
