Krutrim Launches Cloud-Based Hosting for Meta’s Llama 4 Models in India

Bhavish Aggarwal's Krutrim, an AI firm, has hosted Meta's Llama 4 open-source models on its cloud platform, becoming the first in India to install these models on local servers.

Krutrim, an AI business owned by the Ola Group’s Bhavish Aggarwal, revealed on Tuesday on its social media platform X that it has begun to host Meta’s recently unveiled Llama 4 open-source models on its cloud platform. Krutrim asserted that it was the first AI firm in India to install Meta’s Llama 4 models on local servers.

“Krutrim was among the first AI firms in the world to install Meta’s Llama 4 models on local servers. According to the statement, Krutrim offers 4 Scout and Llama 4 Maverick for between Rs 7 and Rs 17 per million tokens. In artificial intelligence, a token is typically a word, character, or phrase that is part of a larger data collection and is used by platforms to process queries.

DeepSeek AI models with 8 billion to 700 billion characteristics are currently available on Krutrim from China, with token prices ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 60 per million.

“Krutrim Assistant V2 is also getting ready for its premiere later this month. DeepSearch, a tool intended to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data searches, will be one of the main features of the next edition, according to the statement.

Krutrim was founded in 2023 and provides several no-code platforms, including GPU-as-a-service and model-as-a-service. After collecting $50 million in a round led by Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), it became a unicorn in January 2024.
