Apple has included even more AI functions with the most recent developer betas of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1. This time, we can eliminate objects from pictures using the new Clean Up tool available as a part of Apple Intelligence.
Users can locate and remove things from photos using the Clean Up tool without impacting the remainder of the image. Smart detection allows users to select and remove objects with a single press. To remove any undesirable elements from the photograph, you may also draw a circle or brush over them.
Apple claims that when you remove an object from a photograph, the feature employs artificial intelligence (AI) to create the background. According to Apple, the algorithm even recognizes object reflections or shadows and makes sure to eliminate them when adding background colour.

Since July, Apple has been gradually testing the iOS 18.1 developer betas with its first round of Apple Intelligence features. Some features include writing tools, SMS and Mail notification summaries, natural language search in Photos, call and voice recording transcription in Notes, and intelligent replying in Mail.
