Whatsapp is planning to launch an AI tool for image editing in its upcoming beta update version 2.24.7.13. The new tool will let users Rest, change the background, and Enlarge the images as per their usage and creativity.

WhatsApp plans to roll out the new AI-powered photo editing feature in its upcoming update to version 2.24.7.13 for beta users. AI photo editing tool is under development and may not be visible if you update the app now.
Though WhatsApp has not officially released any statement, WABetaInfo has shared a preview of the WhatsApp artificial intelligence Image editing Feature.

Meta last year has rolled out AI tools for Facebook and Instagram to edit images. At that time, only two such features were added for image editing: restyle and Backdrop. WhatsApp only got the update of AI-based sticker generation at that time.

The new tool will appear as a sparkle icon for image editing when you attach images in chats and post images in status. When you tap on the sparkle icon, it shows three options: Backdrop, Restyle, and Expand.
These tools will allow users to use their own imagination and creativity to add a new artistic look to the image.

WhatsApp’s new AI image editing tool will initially only be released for Android beta users or testers before being rolled out to other users worldwide for Android. IOS users might also get some similar updates. It will be a free-of-cost feature like other WhatsApp features.
The company always wants the user to have an exclusive and enhanced messaging experience without any additional cost.
