At a White House event, Trump revealed that $500 billion would be invested in building AI infrastructure in the US under Project Stargate, which will immediately create over 100,000 jobs for Americans. CEOs of OpenAI Sam Altman, SoftBank Masayoshi Son, and Oracle Larry Ellison joined him.
It is the biggest AI infrastructure initiative in history, according to Trump. He claimed that while there is rivalry for leadership in AI worldwide, Stargate is leading the way. He also stated that his administration would help the project by declaring emergencies and accelerating energy output to satisfy infrastructural demands.

What is the Stargate Project?
As per the official blog by OpenAI, a new firm called The Stargate Project plans to invest $500 billion for the next four years to construct new OpenAI AI infrastructure in the US. It will start allocating $100 billion right away. Hundreds of thousands of American jobs will be created, American leadership in AI will be cemented, and the global economy will profit greatly from this infrastructure. In addition to aiding in the United States’ reindustrialization, this project will give the country and its allies a strategic capability to safeguard their national security.
Who will invest in the Stargate Project?
The original investors in Stargate include MGX, Oracle, OpenAI, and SoftBank. Stargate’s primary partners are SoftBank and OpenAI, with SoftBank handling financial matters and OpenAI handling operational ones. The chairman will be Masayoshi Son.
The primary first technological partners include Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI. As they secure definite agreements, they are assessing other locations around the US for additional campuses, with the buildout now beginning in Texas.
