At a recent strategy meeting on December 18, before the year 2024 wraps up, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and other senior executives discussed their ideas with the staff.
Pichai informed staff members that the upcoming year would be crucial for Google, as reported in a CNBC story. According to Pichai, 2025 will be crucial for the company in all aspects, including artificial intelligence (AI).Â
“As a company, we need to move faster, and I think we must internalize the urgency of this moment,” Pichai continued.

And the stakes are tremendous, he added. “These are times of disruption. We must remain steadfastly committed to maximizing the advantages of this technology and resolving actual user issues by 2025.
The CEO of Google informed staff that creating large, new businesses is a primary goal. The Gemini app is Google’s latest attempt to attract half a billion users. “There is a lot of momentum with the Gemini app, especially in the last few months,” Pichai stated. “However, there is still work to be done in 2025 to bridge the gap and take the lead there.”
“Our biggest focus next year will be scaling Gemini on the consumer side,” Pichai stated.
The largest of Google’s several antitrust cases worldwide is in the United States. Japan recently said that it would investigate Google, while the UK also voiced some concerns. Pichai stated that he is aware of the level of scrutiny Google is subject to. It is a result of our success and size. It fits into a larger pattern where technology is now having a significant impact on society. Therefore, now more than ever, we must be careful not to become sidetracked,” he said to the staff.
