Samsung Bixby Gen AI Voice Assistant
Samsung the South Korean tech giant is looking forward to adding generative artificial intelligence technology into its voice assistant known as Bixby to enhance the performance of its device as per the reports by CNBC.
Samsung launched Bixby back in the year 2017 along with its Galaxy S8 smartphone. Although Bixby performed some of the functions like live translations or recommending restaurants making it more like a user asking questions and getting answers. Bixby lacked conversation features unlike today’s chatbots which let users prompt a query and a response is generated either in the form of text, image, or video.

Won-Joon Choi, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business also said “So Bixby has been a key voice assistants voice assistant for Samsung not just for the mobile devices, but also for TVs and digital appliances that exist in Samsung’s ecosystem. So it has been the core voice assistant so far” in an interview last month.

Adding advanced AI will enable a more natural conversation and work out an interface that supports the Samsung products in our ecosystem”
