Perplexity Declares Its Residency Program

The AI search engine firm Perplexity has revealed a residency program in San Francisco for new graduates and professionals in their early stages of careers. The three-month full-time residency program offers a chance to obtain experience in a fast-changing AI ecosystem.

The residency program participants will collaborate with the product team to develop new Perplexity features that are grounded in front-end and full-stack engineering. Knowledge of NextJS, TypeScript, Python, Docker, and AWS is also necessary for perplexity.

The startup is providing $9000 per month in salary. In February of the next year, the program will start.

The release stated, “A full-time position will be offered to outstanding performers at the end of the program.” According to Perplexity, their first batch of residents has space for at least five people.

Perplexity has been releasing a ton of features in the past few months. They recently unveiled “Buy with Pro,” a new shopping-related function. This enables customers to browse, select products from specific vendors, and place orders via the website or app.

“Perplexity for Finance,” which offers real-time stock information, industry peer comparisons, and in-depth financial analysis, was unveiled by Perplexity in October.

Businesses can simultaneously search the web and internal files using another capability called “Internal Knowledge Search.”

When it originally started, the AI search engine company was the first of its type, and it now has 15 million active users on both the website and the app. However, ChatGPT Search, which is accessible through the native web and mobile app for the Plus membership, has become a rival to Perplexity.
