The world’s first fully AI-generated video game is now available for free online play by anybody.
According to the developers, Decart created Oasis, an AI simulation of Minecraft that aims to demonstrate the potential of artificial intelligence.
There is no game engine; the player’s actions determine how the game world evolves and changes as the player moves through it. The game operates only on the player’s input.

A notification that reads, “You are about to enter a first-of-its-kind video model, a game engine trained by millions of gameplay hours,” appears when the game loads. Your surroundings will be shaped in real time by every action you perform.
After that, players can choose from a few different starting locations for the game, and they can even upload their images to build a universe to explore.
Players must wait in line until a spot opens up on the server before they can play, and each session is only allowed to last a certain period—it used to be five minutes, but it is now fifteen.

After entering, users are free to move around and explore the environment, and several recordings on social media, YouTube, and streaming websites demonstrate how the world changes around them.
Items in the inventory, the surrounding landscapes, and even the physical selections all alter depending on the player’s gaze.
Decart stated on their website: “Oasis internally simulates physics, game rules, and images while generating real-time gameplay based on user keyboard and mouse input.
“By closely watching gameplay, the model learned to let players walk around, jump, pick up objects, destroy obstacles, and more.
“While Oasis is an impressive technical demo, we believe this research is only the beginning of a new journey involving more complex foundation models that enable real-time human-AI interaction on a new level.”

YuB, a YouTuber, called Oasis “kinda creepy.”
In one part of the film, he used a photo of a cat to test the custom image feature, and it transformed into a different planet in seconds.
Throughout the video, YuB stated, “I’m afraid that something new will always be there when I glance up. Everything is distorting, shaky, and strange. I hope I could play it for longer since I kind of adore it.”
