Microsoft Launches Copilot Plus PCs with Integrated AI Hardware
Microsoft has unveiled “Copilot+ PCs,” a new class of Windows PCs built for the artificial intelligence (AI) age. The tech giant asserted in a statement that these are the quickest and smartest Windows PCs it has ever produced.
The PCs, which start at USD 999 (about Rs 83,220), include revolutionary technology that can perform an astounding 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), have an all-day battery life, and provide users access to the most cutting-edge AI models.
“These experiences come to life on a set of thin, light, and beautiful devices from Microsoft Surface and our OEM partners Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung, with availability starting on June 18,” stated Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President, Consumer Chief Marketing Officer.

Copilot+ PCs can now operate at a level of performance never previously possible thanks to the large language models (LLMs) operating in Azure Cloud and their integration with small language models (SLMs).
Additionally, GPT-4o, the newest technology from OpenAI, will soon be incorporated into Copilot, according to Microsoft executives.
According to the business, “They can run AI workloads and deliver industry-leading AI acceleration with up to 20 times more power and 100 times more efficiency.”
On all Copilot+ PCs, the Microsoft “Pluton Security” processor will be turned on by default for security reasons.
Microsoft also introduced Prism, a technique that allows Arm-based devices to execute software meant for Intel and AMD processors.

The business stated, “With Recall, you can virtually access what you have seen or done on your PC in a way that feels like having a photographic memory.”
This summer, Adobe will release its major applications for Copilot+ PCs, which include Photoshop, Lightroom Express Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and more.
