Meta AI Chatbot Now Available in India on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Mor

Meta AI's chatbot, powered by the Llama 3 model, is now available in India on all Meta-owned platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Learn how this innovative AI can assist with tasks and provide valuable information.

India can now use the company’s Meta AI artificial intelligence chatbot. The chatbot will be accessible on the meta.ai website and all Meta-owned platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Facebook.

The company’s proprietary Llama 3 large language model (LLM), which debuted in April, powers the chatbot. Only a few days after the new AI model was introduced, the social media behemoth made the Meta AI chatbot available in multiple countries.

Meta announced the launch of its AI chatbot in India in a press article. Even though it has begun to roll out nationwide, it will take a few days before everyone can see the function.

Although the company did not explain, it is thought that the country’s general elections are to blame for the delayed launch in India. Users will soon notice a blue-pink ring in the search bar of apps owned by Meta as a result of its roll-out. Pressing it will direct the user to an independent chat window with the AI, where they may have conversations, pose questions, and create images.

The AI in WhatsApp can also be added to groups and can respond to messages in which it has been tagged. Notably, Meta AI can answer questions that necessitate conducting a web search by accessing both Google and Bing.

According to Meta, the AI may be used to create emails, messages, letters, essays, and more. It can also be used to suggest particular restaurants, arrange a trip, assist with homework, develop code, and obtain a broad understanding of a wide range of topics.

In addition to using it in a standalone chat window, users will be able to access it through Facebook post scrolling. Each post will have an Ask Meta AI icon next to it, which may be tapped to reveal more details about the post’s content. Users only need an account on any of the Meta platforms to enjoy the service, which is currently free.
