Sarvam AI is an Indian Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup that is looking for skilled data engineers and machine learning engineers to work with them to develop cutting-edge machine learning systems for text-to-speech and speech recognition in Indian languages.
The company’s main objective is to create full-stack GenAI systems and applications, especially for India, with a focus on Indian languages.

Managing dispersed data processing, creating reliable data pipelines, and web scraping are among the duties of a data engineer. Modern speech models will be trained, observed, and assessed as part of an ML Engineer’s duties.

For the roles, the organization is offering competitive compensation. While the AI Residency pays a salary of up to 1 lakh per month, the Summer Internship offers a stipend of up to 50,000 per month.
In 2023, Pratyush Kumar and Raghavan founded Sarvam AI, currently based in Banglore and Chennai. It is a well-funded GenAI startup, committed to developing full-stack GenAI apps and systems specifically for the Indian market.
Sarvam AI is a place for people who love Indian languages, are keen to make a big difference, and are passionate about advancing significant advances using generative AI. With participation from Khosla Ventures and Peak XV Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners led a $41 million Series A investment round for the startup last year.

Sarvam AI and Microsoft announced plans to develop an Indic voice LLM earlier this year. In the upcoming months, the alliance hopes to develop the voice LLM, which will let users communicate with AI systems by speaking commands.
Ten languages will be supported by Sarvam AI, with plans to add more in the future. The company’s emphasis on voice-based interfaces has several real-world uses in the nation, including customer service and feedback collection, where voice-based models are effective at handling large-scale feedback listening.
