Ahmedabad: India’s First AI-Surveillance City

Ahmedabad has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first city in India to employ artificial intelligence (AI) for comprehensive monitoring by the municipal corporation and police across the city. The city’s Paldi area now hosts a cutting-edge AI command and control centre, equipped with a massive 9 by 3-metre screen overseeing a vast 460-square-kilometer area, encompassing Ahmedabad and its surroundings.
