Even though the world is more connected than before thanks to the internet, and now the metaverse, many people still struggle with feelings of loneliness and disconnection. There are individuals all across the globe who have difficulty conversing with another person for many reasons, such as physical limitations, social anxiety, fear of rejection, or lack of social skills.
Two entrepreneurs from Belgium set out to combat this increasing loneliness with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). Antonio Camacho and Jorge Cuervo founded Rili.AI, an AI-powered social networking application to “foster genuine human connections.”
Let’s take a deeper look into this AI application and how to use it.
Rili.AI is a social networking platform (or application) powered by AI that strives to combat the growing epidemic of loneliness and create meaningful connections. It was founded by Antonio Camacho and Jorge Cuervo, two entrepreneurs from Belgium. Rili.AI aims to transcend geographical and language barriers, allowing users to connect globally.
Rili.AI works by creating digital twins, AI-driven avatars representing the users (you). These digital twins are based on your personality and interests and are known as “Rilis.” You can talk to your Rili through text or voice messages. You can even link your social media accounts to help your Rili learn more about you. The more you interact, the better your Rili gets at mimicking your way of talking and thinking.
In addition to this, you can browse other people’s public Rilis by topic, interest, or creator. The platform enables real-time voice and video discussions by incorporating technologies such as voice cloning, lip-syncing, and speech recognition, resulting in a realistic experience.
Rilis can engage in natural conversations and form bonds with other humans worldwide. The platform currently supports 100 languages and is accessible across the globe.
Rili.AI uses LLMs (large language models) with limitless memory to recall and expand on earlier conversations. However, the platform is not publicly available yet.
What is ChatGPT’s new voice feature?
Using Rili.AI is quite straightforward and simple. You need to start by defining your digital twin’s personality. Interact with it through text or voice messages to enhance its knowledge. You also have the option to link your social media accounts to help your Rili learn more about you. The more you engage with it, the better your digital twin becomes at imitating your communication style.
Rili.AI has adequate safety measures in place so that you can have a secure and enjoyable experience with your digital twin.
According to its founders, Rili.AI envisions a future where social networking goes beyond mere mindless consumption of content. By fostering genuine connections, the platform aims to reshape the social and digital landscape.
Over the past few years, we have seen the emergence of thousands of AI tools that can replace humans. However, Rili.AI is taking a step back and using AI to bring people closer. Its innovative approach to social networking opens doors to a future where connections are not confined by borders or language.
Rili.AI is preparing to launch its alpha version in six nations- the U.S., India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, and Mexico.
