Amid rising concerns over the impact of automation on employment rates, Klarna assured that the company’s new AI chatbot had “nothing to do with” the job cuts it planned for 2022.

According to the official press release by Klarna, the AI even surpasses human agents in efficiency, resolving errands 25% faster (now under 2 minutes compared to the previous 11 minutes) and requiring fewer repeat inquiries.
