In a recent conversation at Davos, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expressed admiration for the Rabbit R1, an AI-powered gadget that debuted at CES.
He lauded the Rabbit OS and device demo as “fantastic” and drew a parallel with the iconic launch of the iPhone by Steve Jobs. Despite varying opinions about the Rabbit R1, Nadella sees it as a defining category for the next generation, positioning it as one of the most impressive presentations since the iPhone’s introduction.
Nadella believes that AI agents will be at the forefront of our interactions with computers, supplanting discrete apps. He expressed his admiration for the Rabbit R1’s potential to shape a future where agent-centric operating systems handle all user interactions.
The Rabbit R1 operates on a large action model, capable of understanding websites and executing tasks for users. Despite selling out within hours, questions linger about user intervention triggers and the overall business model.

He highlighted AI’s transformative role in science, accelerating progress in fields like chemistry and biology.
