  1. Yann LeCun | Meta

Yann LeCun is the Chief AI Scientist at Meta, the parent organization of Facebook. He is a French-American computer scientist, who has a PhD in Computer Science. He has been working at Facebook for over 10 years and leads Facebook’s AI Research and AI R&D (Research and Development) strategy.

  1. David Salvignini | NASA

David Salvagnini who has been working at NASA since 2023 is the Chief AI Officer as well as the Chief Data Officer of the premier space research organization. Mr Salvagnini was appointed the Chief AI Officer only a few days ago. His role includes ensuring data readiness in response to responsible and transparent artificial intelligence (AI).

  1. Dr. Seth Dobrin | IBM

American multinational technology company, IBM, has two Chief AI Officers (CAIOs)- Dr. Seth Dobrin and Gargi Banerjee Dasgupta. For convenience, we are covering only Seth Dobrin as the CAIO. Dobrin is responsible for IBM’s overall AI strategy, ensuring that the company continues to advance its AI capabilities and stay ahead of the competition. Before becoming the Chief AI Officer, he held several leadership positions at IBM, including Vice President of AI Technologies and Chief Data Officer.   1. Lan Guan | Accenture

Lan Guan is the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) of Accenture, one of the world’s leading IT consulting services. She has been with the organization for the past 21 years and was listed in the Top 25 Consultants and Leaders in AI by The Consulting Report in 2023. As the CAIO, she collaborates with companies across various industries and geographies to craft data and AI strategies that foster value and growth. She also heads the Accenture Center for Advanced AI, an AI hub that empowers enterprises to maximize their AI investments.

  1. Gila Kamhi | Intel Corporation

Gila Kamhi is the CAIO of Intel Corporation. She leads the AI/ML technology department, focusing on identifying use cases in wireless and connectivity solutions. Another responsibility includes collaborating with stakeholders within Intel to integrate new AI-based services into existing products. Before becoming the Chief AI Officer, she served as a Principal Engineer at Intel, where she led the Perceptual Computing Advanced Technologies team.

As the Chief AI Officer of Dell Technologies, Mei May Soo is responsible for driving Dell’s AI initiatives, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions that help businesses and organizations leverage the power of AI to solve complex problems. Before joining Dell, she worked at Cisco Systems and A.P. Moller. 

  1. Sulabh Soral | Deloitte

With over 22 years of work experience, Sulabh Soral is the Chief AI Officer at Deloitte. His forte includes product innovation, data science, and technology. As the CAIO, Soral focuses on integrating global AI advancements to enhance human-machine collaboration. He also leads the Deloitte AI Institute in the UK, which is the Generative AI CoE. 

  1. John Giannandrea | Apple

John Giannandrea is the senior vice president of machine learning and AI strategy at Apple Inc. He joined Apple in 2018 and is now in charge of the company’s AI and ML strategy as well as the creation of Siri and Core ML technologies. Before joining Apple, he was the head of Machine Intelligence, Research, and Search teams at Google. He was a co-founder of Tellme Networks and Metaweb Technologies, two tech firms.

Ben Shahshahani, Ph.D., a technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in AI and machine learning, will serve as Vice President and chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, starting Aug. 12, 2024. In his new role at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Shahshahani will collaborate with executives, clinical leaders, and data scientists to implement the clinic’s AI vision for enhancing healthcare delivery. Sudhakar Singh has been appointed as the Chief AI Security Officer at SAP Labs India. With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and a 12-year tenure at SAP, Singh will lead initiatives to ensure trustworthy AI for SAP Business AI. His extensive background positions him well to advance SAP’s commitment to secure and ethical AI practices.

12. Pranay Ahlawat | Commvault

Commvault has appointed Pranay Ahlawat as its new Chief Technology and AI Officer. In this role, Ahlawat will lead the company’s technological strategy, focusing on innovation in data protection and AI-driven solutions. His extensive background includes senior positions at Oracle and Salesforce, bringing valuable expertise to Commvault’s leadership team.
