How to Use Grok AI Image Generator Tool on Twitter (X)

The Grok AI model on Twitter, or X, is equipped with a text-to-image generator tool. You can use it to create AI images and share them on your x account.

A few days ago, billionaire Elon Musk’s startup xAI, launched the improved versions of Grok AI, X’s (formerly Twitter) own generative AI model. Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini are the improved versions of Grok 1.5 which was rolled out earlier this year.

The new and improved models come with advanced capabilities in conversational AI, coding, and complex reasoning. The Grok-2 model is equipped with an AI image generator. It uses Black Forest Labs’ Flux.1 text-to-image generator for creating images based on text prompts.

One thing that sets Grok-2 apart from other image generators is that it does not have the same limitations as the others. Grok-2 can generate images that include political leaders and copyrighted stuff without restriction.

Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini can only be accessed by the paid users of X. And X users are having a little too much fun with this text-to-image generation capability.

If you own a paid subscription and wish to create images in seconds, then this article is for you. We will cover how to use Grok AI image generator tool on Twitter.

How to Use Grok AI to Generate Images?

One important thing to remember here is that to generate images, you will need to access X on desktop mode. Once you have taken care of that, follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to your X account on your desktop. You need to be a paid user in order to access Grok.

Step 2: Go to the menu tab on the left side of the screen. You will find Grok in the middle of the menu tab.

Step 3: You can choose either Grok-2 or Grok mini to generate images.

Step 4: Type in your prompt. You can ask the generative AI model to create just about anything. However, just because there are no regulations on the type of content you can request, it’s important to use good judgment and be mindful of the potential implications of your requests.

Step 5: Your requested image is generated. You can share the generated image on your X account.

The Bottom Line

Elon Musk has been a vocal supporter of the First Amendment for a long time. After acquiring Twitter (X) and becoming its CEO, he expressed a desire to make X a platform for free speech and has taken several actions to reduce censorship and increase user freedom.

So, it does not come as a surprise that X’s gen AI models, Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini, come with no restrictions or limitations, even when creating AI-generating images.

However, you need to remember that with great freedom comes great responsibility. You must use these powerful models ethically and responsibly to avoid any potential harm or misuse.

With the United States presidential elections approaching, you must be vigilant in ensuring that these AI models are not used to spread misinformation or manipulate public opinion. It is up to you to uphold the values of free speech while also being mindful of the potential consequences of your actions.
