How to Access Gemini Live?

• Step 1: Get Gemini Advanced

Gemini Live is only available to Gemini Advanced subscribers. If you have not bought the premium tier yet, you will need it to upgrade to access this feature. Also, this feature is rolling out first to Android users. If you have an Android phone and an Advanced subscription, you may already have access. iOS users will get the Gemini Live feature in the coming weeks.

• Step 2: Start a Conversation

Once you have access, you can start a conversation with Gemini Live in these ways:

• Long Press the Power Button: This brings up Gemini, ready to help.
• Say “Hey Google”: This wakes up Gemini to assist you.
• Go to the Gemini App: You can directly open the app and start talking.
• Ask About this Screen: If you are on your phone, then you use the “Ask about this screen” suggestion to get help with whatever is on your screen.
• Use Hands-Free: You don’t need to keep the app open. You can continue talking to Gemini even when your phone is locked or the app is in the background.

It can help you with tasks like finding emails, adding items to your shopping list, or creating music playlists. You can also drag and drop images generated by Gemini into apps like Gmail and Google Messages.
