• In the prompt bar above, type in your prompt. Your prompt can be as descriptive as possible. Remember to include the art style or any elements you want in the generated video.
• Let Hotshot do it magic and your video will be created. You can either download it or copy the link to share it on your social media platforms.

With Hotshot, you can generate 3 videos per day. Once you have exhausted your daily limit and are still trying to generate more videos, you will be asked to subscribe to the premium tier.

When you type in your prompt and click on the generate button, you will be presented with a blank black screen. As the AI processes your prompt, the screen gradually fills with a grainy visualization of the generated content. 

Then a progress bar appears. It indicates the remaining time for the clip to be completed. Once finished, you can preview the video, share it by copying the link, or download it in MP4 format.

We tried three different art styles to generate short-form videos using Hotshot. Here is how they went:

Prompt 3: A tiny fish swimming among sharks

Art Style: Cartoon

What we think: Hotshot can handle the realistic art style just fine. However, it has trouble creating videos in different styles, as evident from prompt 2 and prompt 3. As a competitor of Sora, Kling, and Dream Machine, we expected more from Hotshot. Its output is kind of underwhelming. 

However, it is still in its preview phase, so there is potential for improvement in the future. With more time and development, Hotshot may be able to expand its capabilities and compete more effectively with other platforms. 

For now, it is a decent text-to-video generator tool that can be used for free. 

The Bottom Line

While it currently has limitations in terms of art style and video length, Hotshot offers a simple, straightforward interface and produces high-quality 720p videos.
