As artificial intelligence (AI) gains prominence in today’s scientific and technical world, a 15-year-old prodigy emerges as inspiration after accepting a position as Chief Technical Officer of a well-known AI start-up in Kochi, Kerala.
Uday Shankar is the Chief Technology Officer of Thammanam, Vyttila-based AI start-up Urav Advanced Learning System Pvt. Ltd. Uday manages the technological side of his company in addition to teaching degree programs in artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and game creation. The benefits accrue to kids enrolling in the Advanced Python Coding and Unity 3D Game Development courses.

Uday Shankar’s path is nothing short of motivating for the youth. It has come to light that Uday had to leave school in the eighth grade to pursue his passion for technology and science. After leaving school, Uday worked his way up to become the CTO, a role he had held for the previous four years.
Uday plans to continue his education past the tenth grade after completing his education through open schooling. The AI prodigy has effectively finished diploma programs from IIT Kanpur and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with the assistance of his parents, Dr. Ravi Kumar and Srikumari.
The AI maestro has published four academic papers and is the owner of three patents to prove his mettle. He has also written nine computer applications, seven apps, and roughly fifteen games. He was acknowledged and given the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ignited Mind Children Creativity and Innovation Award 2030 as a result of his accomplishments.

Uday Shankar’s journey with AI is inspiring and fascinating at the same time. His foray into the realm of AI app development was spurred by his encounters. Rumor has it that Uday, for whatever reason, was unable to contact his grandmother in Palakkad.
Uday capitalized on the situation by creating an AI version of her, which resulted in the creation of the “Hi Friends” app. With the Uday Shankar app, users may make an avatar of someone and speak with them in any language. The app demonstrated the technology’s potential use in environments like trains and metros by inspiring the development of a multilingual kiosk that satisfies AI requirements.
Along with his other projects, Uday studied Python programming online and launched his start-up, Urav, four years ago. With “Clean Alka,” his other well-known project, users can make images and have conversations with an AI chatbot. He also possesses a patent for “Bhashini,” an application that enables users to manage several languages. To help those with vision problems navigate public settings, Uday provides a free app.
