Indian Air Force Tests Innovative AI-Driven BHISM Portable Hospital for Airdrops

BHISM portable cubes have been tested by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Agra for aircraft airdrops. For the first time, the IAF is testing its mobile hospital. This test was conducted to make sure the mobile hospital could be deployed anywhere and treat medical emergencies.

As part of the drill, an IAF C-130 aircraft parachuted a test version of the Arogya Maitri Disaster Brick. The device known as “bricks” that are paradropped is designed to expedite disaster relief efforts by delivering essential survival supplies to locations that are unreachable through other means following a crisis.

The Chairman of the Arogya Maitri Task Force, Air Mshl Rajesh Vaidya, DGMS (Air), was present during the study, which was carried out in conjunction with an Army Para Field Hospital. Because the exact drop ensured that the contents would not be harmed, the trial was successful.

The drinkable cubes are a component of the larger “Project BHISHM” (Bharath Health Initiative for Sahyog, Hita, and Maitri) program, which prioritizes prompt action and all-encompassing care and is designed to treat up to 200 casualties. This was set up at Ayodhya earlier this year to improve medical response and readiness for the impending ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual.

Several cutting-edge instruments that improve disaster response and emergency medical support are included with the Aid Cube. To provide efficient coordination, real-time monitoring, and effective management of medical services in the field, it integrates artificial intelligence (AI) with data analytics.

The entire machine has seventy-two easily movable parts that may be carried by hand, bicycle, or even drone, offering unparalleled versatility. When it comes to mass casualty situations (MCIs), where needs might vary from basic help to sophisticated medical and surgical care, the Help Cube is unique in that it can be set up in an astounding 12 minutes.

This quick deployment capability is essential because it closes the critical time gap between primary care and definitive care, which could save many lives during the critical emergency period.

These cubes are lightweight, durable, and watertight. They are perfect for a range of emergencies because they can be configured in different ways. The cube may be quickly placed anywhere, enabling immediate reaction capability, for both airdrops and land transports.
