As part of the Outer Ring Road (ORR), Hyderabad will soon have an AI City to support the growth of India's artificial intelligence base, awaiting June cabinet approval.
Hyderabad AI City
AI City will shortly be built in Hyderabad along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to boost India’s artificial intelligence sector.
According to a report released in the Deccan Chronicle, Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) officials have pinpointed 200 acres of land in the mandals of Maheshwaram, Serilingampally, Chevella, and Ibrahimpatnam to be used as the AI City, where the ecosystem will be housed.

Even though TGIIC authorities have located land, the allocation is likely to be authorized at the June cabinet meeting.
Additionally, it is suggested that the first Skill University in the state be founded there. The campus of the university will occupy 100 acres.
Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of Telangana, is also anticipated to lay the groundwork for the planned AI City, Skill University, and ORR in Hyderabad in advance of the “Golabl AI Summit,” set for July.
The government of Uttar Pradesh had previously declared the establishment of AI City in Lucknow.
On the other hand, the planned AI City in Hyderabad would be situated on 200 acres along the ORR, while it is being developed in Lucknow on 40 acres of land.
While AI City near ORR is targeted for completion in 2028, Lucknow’s AI City is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
Hyderabad is to become the “AI capital of India,” according to the government.

IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu stated at a Telangana Facility Manager Council (TFMC) meeting last Friday that the goal is to establish Hyderabad as the “AI capital of India” by creating a specialized AI city.
Our sincere goal is for Hyderabad to become an AI city. Our goal is for Hyderabad to become the AI hub of the world. The city is what we would like to see as a hub for AI development.”
Higher education, labour, IT, and technical department officials are scheduled to visit different states to observe how skilled universities operate.
To establish a skill university in Telangana, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to examine how skill universities in Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh operate and then imitate those states’ best practices.
