The 2023 index includes 174 countries giving each a score between 0 and 1. A country with a score closer to 1 shows better preparation to bring AI into its systems.

How the AIPI Index is Prepared:

The AIPI is calculated by averaging scores across the four dimensions:

  • Human Capital: Assesses investment in education mainly in STEM fields.

With an AIPI score of 0.63 China is ranked 31st which is higher than India. In order to become a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) by integrating these technologies across industries including manufacturing and healthcare.
