In addition to the standard text prompt for creating graphics, Microsoft Designer offers a wide range of templates that you may use to create a variety of items, including coloring book pages, greeting cards, social media posts, icons, and wallpaper. In the mobile edition of the software, Designer also offers you to use its avatar creation.

Designer is another tool for AI picture editing; it lets you restyle pre-existing photos and add artistic borders created by AI. In addition, the Designer allows you to add text and branding to images, adjust and remove backdrops, and eliminate people or objects from pictures.

In addition to offering Microsoft Designer as a stand-alone program, Microsoft has been integrating Designer into other programs like Word and PowerPoint through Copilot. Word and PowerPoint users can create graphics and designs directly within Copilot Pro, and Microsoft is shortly going to release a new banner image generator specifically for Word documents.

Microsoft has been experimenting with sending photos from Photos to Designer, but to save you time, it has now integrated the functionality directly into Photos. Microsoft Edge will eventually have similar functionality as well.
