List of iPhone models compatible with Apple Intelligence and iOS 18

Apple unveiled iOS 18, a new operating system with AI features, design updates, and design improvements. The OS will be available on iPhone models like iPhone 15, 15, Pro, and Max, with the final beta 7 version expected to be released in September. AI functions will not be immediately available to the general public, but users may want to upgrade to a new model that supports iOS 18.

Apple unveiled iOS 18, the most recent version of its operating system, with several new features, design updates, and AI advancements, during the June WWDC 2024 event. iPhone owners are waiting for the formal release of the OS, which has been in the testing phase for some time.

The most notable addition of iOS 18 is Apple Intelligence, which brings AI-powered capabilities to many iOS apps, including Messages, Photos, Apple Voice Assistant Siri, and more. Nevertheless, only a select few iPhone models will support iOS 18 and its AI features. This is a list of all iPhone models that are compatible with iOS 18.

When will iOS 18 be released?

In July, the public beta version of iOS 18 was made available. Currently, the final beta 7 version is on the verge of release, and it is anticipated to serve as the last testing version before the actual release. It is now anticipated that Apple will announce the public release of iOS 18 during the forthcoming event in September. Presumably, the announcement will follow the formal release of the much-discussed iPhone 16 series.

The AI functions will not be immediately available to the general public, even though iOS 18 will be released with new features and improvements. As a result, there are rumors that Apple plans to roll out AI feature progressively throughout the year.

Users of the iPhone X or previous generations might want to think about upgrading to a new model that supports iOS 18. Keep in mind that iOS 18 will work with any iPhone model that supports the A12 Bionic chipset or later. But only the iPhone 15 Pro versions and other future iPhones will be able to use the AI features.
