High school friends Christopher Fitzgerald and Nicholas Van Landschoot have raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding for APIGen, an AI-driven platform that auto-generates custom APIs using natural language prompts. Discover their journey and the potential impact of this innovative tool on the API market.

Two high school friends of 18 years, Christopher Fitzgerald and Nicholas Van Landschoot, have set up a pre-seed funding APIGen, which they have secured with $500,000. This company is developing an auto-generating API creation application that uses natural language prompts to create new APIs.
Van Landschoot “We’re actually generating the code for the APIs so that you can have business logic, actual custom functionalities within those APIs as well,”
However, this doesn’t mean that the founders are not satisfied with just developing standard APIs; they want APIGen to create highly sophisticated custom APIs, even a single one capable of performing several or a sequence of tasks. This implies that instead of specifying a set of functions to be created in a basket, a business could just request an API that will link a web front end to a database, and the platform will provide it. It is also known that APIGen is currently in the process of considering IoT devices as one of the focuses of a startup.
These high schoolers got close at their debate club and shared the same interest in writing computer code. They began to message creatives directly on Linked In and anyone else they could about VCs as well. This message was relayed to various people, one of whom was Philip Broenniman, the founder of Denver-based Varana Capital. It was an impressive presentation that Broenniman was able to give the teens a pre-seed of $250,000 alongside a SAFE for another $250,000.

APIGen itself is still in its early stages and does not even have its functional MVP implemented. However, it has all the necessary prospects, as the business targeted by the company has shown a desire to engage in the activity, and there is always a community that is willing to embrace such opportunities.
Broenniman, who occupies board seats with capital investments, trusts the youth founders are capable of doing the same. “I think these guys have a real shot of doing something of substance,” he said “One has to have technical brains and application, as well as sheer gumption, and these blokes have it in abundance, and this is just the onset,” he said.
API market has generated multibillion dollars’ worth of successes and there are already seamless, systematic API automations available on the market. Still, the competition is rigid and focused on different tasks, and that is where APIGen starts with the unique feature of generating sophisticated, tailored APIs that can perform multiple or sequential tasks.
APIGen has made a promising start for the businesses for creating APIs. The organization has raised a remarkable $500,000 in pre-seed funding and has gathered a lot of attention. These 2 young founders have made their remark that they have a clear objective and want to make that reality. With the help of their investor and the support of their community, APIGen is poised to make a significant impact in the API market.
