Google Photos Adds AI Video Editing Tools for Effortless Trimming, Slow Motion & Dynamic Effects

Google Photos now offers AI-powered video editing tools on iOS and Android, allowing users to effortlessly create stunning videos. These features include automatic trimming, dynamic motion tracking, slow-motion effects, and brightness correction, making video editing a breeze.

With new editing tools and AI-powered presets Google is improving the mobile video editor on its Photos app for iOS and Android, which should make it simpler for users to cut and adjust their videos.

On iOS and Android devices, AI-powered video presets let you easily create excellent edited videos with little work. With a few touches, these presets can apply effects like dynamic motion tracking of the primary subject, zooming in on the action, or slow motion. They can also automatically trim the video and modify lighting and pace.

New features for Android devices include an enhanced trimming tool for more accurate cuts to the film, a new “Auto enhance” button that enhances colour and stability, and a new “Speed” tool for creating slo-mo or sped-up videos. Additionally, the tools situated just beneath the video timeline are being reorganised to facilitate users’ access to frequently used functions such as export frame, enhance, stabilise, and mute.

On both Android and iOS, there will be new AI-powered video presets that can do targeted edits with a single swipe, like speed control, brightness correction, and automatic video trimming. Additionally, these presets include the ability to apply effects to a specific subject in the video, such as slow motion, zoom, and dynamic motion tracking. The new AI-powered features are housed apart from the conventional editing tools in their own “presets” tab located beneath the video timeline.

It can take some time before these upgrades show up on all devices, according to Google, which claims they are “starting to roll out” today.
