However, the launch has now been delayed after Gemini failed to handle some "non-English" queries reliably, as per a report.

Google Gemini AI Chatbot, a rival to OpenAI ChatGPT launch, has been delayed. There is no official communication that has been released by Google LLC for not launching the Gemini ChatBot. However various media sources are saying that Google has postponed the Gemini AI Chatbot launch due to uncertainty in handling certain non-English queries. 

Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, recently decided to cancel a series of Gemini events originally slated for the upcoming week in California, New York, and Washington. This decision to delay the launch comes after the company identified issues with the AI’s reliability in handling certain non-English queries.

Google Gemini AI Chatbot is to be the most powerful conversational AI Google has created to date due to its multi modal capabilities, AlphaGo-inspired techniques, access to Google’s data, focus on problem-solving, and potential for future advancements make it a powerful tool with the potential to revolutionise the way we interact with computers. Google Gemini AI Chatbot New Launch Date: Expected at the end of January 

As per a report, Google has discreetly postponed the public introduction of Gemini to January. It is expected that the Google AI Chatbot will be released in January 2024 after conducting thorough lab testing and necessary modifications. 

Google Gemini AI Chatbot: Why it is Rival to ChatGPT 

Gemini AI Chatbot is based on LLM models called AlphaGo – A DeepMind product which emerged as the first computer program to defeat a champion human player in the strategy board game called Go in the year 2016. According to experts At a high level, you can think of Gemini as combining some of the strengths of AlphaGo-type systems with the amazing language capabilities of the large models. 

According to Google’s Official blog, Gemini AI Chatbot is based on the LLM model PaLM 2 which is built on fundamental research and our latest infrastructure. It’s highly capable of a wide range of tasks and easy to deploy. PaLM 2 models deliver excellent foundational capabilities across a wide range of sizes. The company has affectionately named them Gecko, Otter, Bison, and Unicorn. Gecko is so lightweight that it can work on mobile devices: fast enough for great interactive applications on-device, even when offline. PaLM 2 models are stronger in logic and reasoning thanks to broad training on scientific and mathematical topics. It’s also trained on multilingual text — spanning more than 100 languages — so it understands and generates nuanced results.
