Formerly Twitter, now X, could charge all users subscription fees says Elon Musk

Elon Musk has articulated that the purchased social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is under discussion for charging all users for accessing the platform through a paywall system of revenue generation. The X owner, Elon Musk, said “ erecting a paywall around the business would ward off the bots, or automated accounts, that have become a bugbear for Musk.”

X will soon launch the ‘Paid Version’ for all users. This statement was given by ‘SpaceX’ Founder Elon Musk in a meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister. Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, suggested that X is going to charge its user base based on usage cases.

In the current scenario, X (Twitter) only charges users for its subscription service, X Premium. The X Premium (formerly known as Twitter Blue) starts at $8 a month and gives members a blue checkmark previously reserved for those who met certain credibility requirements, the ability to edit posts and other features. The feature offers perks such as a verified account checkmark, and subscribers have to pay $11 a month in the US for iPhones and £11 in the UK.

X Subscriptions offers users a monthly subscription that can help them earn revenue and connect with fans on a deeper level.

With X  Subscriptions, the subscribers can monetize where they already live, right on X. Subscriptions can help you earn monthly revenue by sharing an extra level of content and conversation with your biggest supporters on X.

Please note: The X official website says that the subscription is currently being tested with a small group in the US and on iOS and Android.
