In a move that could reshape the AI hardware landscape, Chinese chipmaker Intellifusion has launched its groundbreaking “DeepEyes” AI boxes, leveraging a 14nm AI processor that sidesteps US sanctions while delivering exceptional performance at a fraction of the cost of traditional GPUs.

Priced at just $140, these chips boast impressive capabilities, making them an attractive option for businesses seeking affordable AI solutions. 

By utilizing an older 14nm node and likely employing an ASIC, Intellifusion circumvents sanctions and stays competitive in the industry.

The DeepEyes series promises impressive performance across its lineup. The first iteration, equipped with the DeepEdge10Max SoC, boasts a staggering 48 TOPS in int8 training performance. 

With options ranging from the DeepEdge10Max SoC to the upcoming DeepEdge10Ultra, which promises up to 96 TOPS, Intellifusion is poised to revolutionize the AI market.

What sets Intellifusion’s AI hardware apart is its affordability without compromising on performance. With prices starting at around 1000 yuan, Intellifusion aims to make AI technology accessible to a wider audience, covering 90% of AI scenarios while being 90% cheaper than traditional options.
