  • For now, Gemini Live isn’t available while signed in to a work or school Google account.
  • Your first language in settings is supported.

With Gemini Live, you can have a natural, free-flowing conversation with Gemini in up to 2 languages. You can even interrupt it, like when you want to add more details or change the topic of the conversation. The easy steps are:

For Android

Step 1: Open the Gemini mobile app on your Android phone or tablet.

Step 2: At the bottom, tap Live.

Step 3: For your first time, follow any on-screen instructions.

Step 4: Start talking.

For iPhone

Step 1: Open the Gemini mobile app on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2: At the bottom, tap Live.

Step 3: For your first time, follow any on-screen instructions.

Step 4: Start talking.

Put Live on hold & resume the Live chat

  • To put the Live chat on hold, tap Hold. This turns off the mic.
  • To resume the Live chat, tap Live or Continue.

Exit or resume a Live chat & review the transcript

  • To exit the Live chat and review the transcript, tap End.
  • To resume a previous Live chat, open the chat and tap Live .
