Krishna Rangasayee’s career began as a Senior Applications Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor in 1993. He then transitioned to Altera Corporation, acquired by Intel, serving as a Senior Engineer in Product Planning. 

Following this role, Rangasayee joined Xilinx, a prominent semiconductor company, where he spent a remarkable 18 years from 1999 to 2017. At Xilinx, he held various executive leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Senior Vice President and General Manager for Global Sales and Markets, driving strategy, growth, and execution to establish the company’s market leadership. Krishna expanded Xilinx to $2.5 billion in revenue with a 70% gross margin.

Subsequently, Rangasayee served as the COO at Groq for over a year, contributing his expertise to accelerate complex workloads in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and high-performance computing. 

Following his tenure at Groq, he joined Lattice Semiconductor as a Member of the Board of Directors. 

In 2018, he founded SiMa.ai, a company building machine learning (ML) system-on-chip (SoC) devices that provide high-performance capabilities. He has also been serving as the company’s CEO since its inception. 

Rangasayee leads a team delivering a software-centric purpose-built MLSoC™ platform to enable effortless ML deployment and scaling at the embedded edge. The company initially focused on computer vision applications.
